Hello, My name is Cameron Hadley. I am 12 years old and the only deacon to join the quorum this year. I am on track to win the deacon of the year award. I am also a 6th grader at Fulton middle school. I enjoy playing football, soccer and surfing.
In our TV room we have a picture frame of the scripture in 2nd Corinthians 5:7 that reads, “For we walk by Faith, not by Sight”. To me this means that even though we haven’t seen Jesus Christ, we still believe that he is real.
In the Book of Mormon, a missionary - Alma was teaching the poor Zoramite people about believing in God.
17 Yea, there are many who do say: If thou wilt show unto us a sign from heaven, then we shall know of a surety; then we shall believe.
18 Now I ask, is this faith? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for if a man knoweth a thing he hath no cause to believe, for he knoweth it.
21 And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true.
I have not seen a sign from heaven, I do not have a perfect knowledge but I have faith. I hope for things that are not seen, which are true.
I have faith that Jesus Christ is real and is my Savior.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
