Good Morning, ward family! I hope you're all having a great day so far. It's about to get even better! My name is Bodhi and I am 12 years old. I love playing baseball, listening to music, and playing drum. I also like hanging out with my family.
Today I would like to talk about the importance of being a good example. There are a lot of people in my life who have set good examples to me. My mom and dad, my grandparents, and many other friends and relatives. These people have helped to lay out a path for me to follow in my life. I can also be an example by being a good person and a light for others to follow.
Before Jesus Christ was crucified, he was made to walk with his cross. The people mocked him and treated him awfully. Then they drove nails in his palms and in his feet and let him hang on that cross to die. Before Jesus died, he said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." The example of forgiveness that Jesus showed those forgiveness, and how we should treat other human beings. When we are good examples to others, we create a ripple effect. Others will see our good example and will want to follow.
Alma 17:11 says, "Ye may show forth good examples to unto them in me, and I will make an instrument of thee in my hands unto the salvation of many souls."
In my own life, I do my best to be a good example to those around me. When I play baseball, I like to encourage my teammates. I tell them, "Good job," and way to go!" This makes them feel good, and in turn, they do the same to me and others on my team. This creates an atmosphere of good vibes and positive attitudes. It helps everyone feel valued. Imagine what the world would be like if we all treated each other this way.
I try not to use foul language. I don't steal and Im not dishonest. I make sure to eat healthy, exercise, and think clean thoughts. By doing these things I can become a light to those around me. It's my hope that my light becomes contagious, and others will do the same. Being a good example is like being the light in a dark room. When you shine bright with kindness, honesty, and goodness, you light up the world around you. Your actions become the glow that guide others through the darkness, showing them the way toward positivity and warmth. Just like a single light can dispel shadows, your positive example has the power to brighten someone else's day and make the world a better, brighter place for everyone.
I encourage everyone to continue to be good examples tho those around them this week.
I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen
