TWO OF OUR FRIENDS DECIDED TO TAKE ONE STEP CLOSER TO JESUS THROUGH FOLLOWING HIS EXAMPLE BY BEING BAPTIZED!! Bridget's baptism will be on June 7th & Jacie's will be on July 15th
We consider Tuesdays our "miracle days" from the Lord because every Tuesday has been nothing short of miraculous- this past Tuesday we taught 7 brand new friends about Jesus!!
We had the SWEETEST bashing experience ever last night!! No joke, the couple was SO SO SO incredibly kind & hospitable that it almost didn't even hurt when they told us we're lost sheep without a shepherd & that we're damning ourselves / worshipping the wrong Jesus Christ - we're going back for dinner next Sunday!
Attended my first zone conference (all 83 missionaries in Louisville, Crestwood, and Elizabeth Town together for 8 hours to train / be taught) & I got to see Sister Strong!
Sister Gould made us a pie!
I made some mutual (youth group) kids cry with my foursquare skills
Yesterday I took a brand new Bible and began tabbing everything I could find related to God being our loving Heavenly Father, the apostasy, temples, repentance, the Atonement of Jesus Christ, priesthood, being joint heirs with Christ, prophets, baptism, glory, the gift of the Holy Ghost, Jesus being present at the Creation, etc. This little exercise was a reminder to me that God honors our efforts in gaining spiritual knowledge! He WANTS to help us add tools to our toolbelt (aka have scriptures on hand to build up our testimonies of Christ)! I have never been guided by the Spirit in my studies like I was guided yesterday morning.
So! This week I invite you all: go read your scriptures! Think of a topic you aren't super sure about, then see where God takes you as you "search the scriptures diligently" (Alma 17:2). I expect all 163 of you to respond with something new that you learned from letting God be the captain of your scripture study boat
