Hey everyone,

I'll be quick today, but I figured I'd let yall know that I am still alive and well.

This week we went to New missionary training in Charolette. It was awesome to see all the missionaries that I traveled from the MTC with. One thing that was very obvious to me was that I am super blessed. I love Lenoir, I love the ward her, and I love my companion so much. This was not the case for all the missionaries there, but transfers are just a week away so things could change for some of them. On that note, I am quite sure I will.stay in Lenoir with sister Chappell, but anything could happen.

District counsel (all the missionaries in my district (my area and the areas around me) come together to set goals, learn. And grow together) this week was awesome! I learned even more from zone conference and I taught my first training!

The highlight of my week forsake was Sydney baptism. She is the sweetest little girl in my ward, and she asked us if we would come. Even on this little girls face, you can see the joy that comes from making covenants with God. It was a good reminder that my goal is to help people have that same opportunity. She said the next day at church that she woke up and could feel that she made the right decision to be baptized. How awesome is that! This 8 year old could recognize that God was proud of her and that she had made the right decision.

One thought I wish to share comes from Acts 5. In this chapter Peter and John are thrown into prison and and persecuted for teaching about Christ. But verse 41 words the joy that comes from being a missionary so well. "And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name." After the trials and hardships they went through, they left rejoicing! They were rejoicing that they were called to be persecuted for the sake of Jesus Christ! I am not going to lie, there are some people here in North Carolina that do not like the "mormon church" and they love to let us know. It can be super hard getting bashed, hated, and rejected. But I have just found joy in the fact that I have been called to experience all those thing for Jesus Christ. I am so grateful that I am a representative of Jesus Christ and that I have been counted worthy to suffer shame for him name. There is no other name I would want to suffer shame for but him.

My friends this is Jesus Christ's gospel restored on the earth. He leads this church and it is not an exaggeration to say that the doctrine of the gospel of Jesus Christ saves souls. People all around each of us need the opportunity to hear about it and choose for themselves. Look for opportunities to share to gospel with someone this week. There is no greater work to be apart of, so don't let it move forward without joining in. I promise that you won't wanna miss it. Miracles are real and they happen! Invite people to come and see, there is no greater joy than bringing sould unto Christ, I promise!

I love you all! You are all so incredible. Don't forget to thank God today:)

This week the Book of Mormon another freaking testament of Jesus Christ made me so happy. We are so lucky to have the old testament, the new testament, and another testament of Jesus Christ! The Book of Mormon is the word of God, don't forget to read it!

Have the best week ever,

Sister Johnson
