Hey! This week we have been in a trio with Elder Brown because he is finishing his mission and decided to have his last week here in La Libertad! We had a ton of fun this week, the only problem was that his "already home" attitude made it a little harder to stay motivated. Don't worry, we still worked him to death his last week!!
I'll skip all the jazz; we got transfers two days ago! They are combining our zone with the Kennedy Zone, así que we aren't zone leaders anymore! Also, my companion Garlitz is leaving to be (my) new zone leader in Kennedy! I am receiving a Peruvian guy named Sopan, who is finishing his mission in a few months. I am super excited to have a Latino companion again, we are going to have a lot of fun!
Our friend Diana is getting closer to her baptism! We have involved her more in the ward by inviting her to family home evenings and the sort. She also told me that she actually prayed and feels that she received her answer and that the church is true!!! That’s probably the first time on my mission that someone has actually straight up told us that. Qué chevere! We also have a new friend named Juan Sebastian, who has Asperger’s. He has a strong desire to learn and has come to church (although two hours late) for the past two weeks in a row!!
Random facts:
- We spent like 4 hours in the notary (think of the dmv) for my cédula and passport. So fun!
- The city got foggy for the first time ever
- Almost got robbed again by a sketchy guy on a bike that passed us, stopped in front, and wouldn't stop staring at us. We just booked it hacia atrás jaja.
- Latinos cheat in monopoly
Ciao!! -Elder Orgill
