Ciao!
It's been a little while since I last wrote, I have been pretty busy but that's a good thing. I'll talk about the area really quick as well as a few other things I have been doing recently.
Sabina is north east of Rome. It's where they produce olives. The area is mostly farm land and it seems like there are just 4 towns that have more than 3,000 people in them. There are cities that live out of old castles like: Stimigliano, Province of Rieti. The work is pretty tough, I'm pretty lucky if I get to talk with someone for more than 15 seconds. Nonetheless the members that are in my branch are the best in the world. They are very kind and they support us whenever they can.
It is pretty rare to be able to teach the restored gospel or at least find someone who is interested. That hasn't kept me from trying but it can be discouraging from time to time. I am confident that I will be able to find someone who is interested before the transfer is over (in 2 weeks).
We are teaching 2 people about once a week they are great! Thier names are Dario and Fabio. Both are working towards baptism.
As for the other things I have been upto is preparing for zone conference It went really well. I did it in italian and I am happy with how it turned out. For the lunch, my companion (Anziano Townsend) and I made Tiramisù for 60 people and one of the Italian sisters was mad because it was really really good but it was done by 2 Americans. That made my day.
The appartment I live in is one of the best in the mission. It is 2 floors with heated flooring. The unfortunate part is that it hasn't been well kept so over the last 2 weeks I bought and built a shelf. Organized the appartment. Re-calked and sink and Shower. Fixed the pipes for the sink. This upcoming week I will be fixing the electrical part of the stove top and making a wood box from some wood we have.
I have been trying my hand at cooking again and it's been pretty successful and I love making good food. I have attached a list of things I will be making.
The other day I did an exchange and ran to The Coliseum which was a lot of fun Pictures attached.
I will be home in a few months from now. Please update me on how you guys are doing!
Ciao!
