Hey everyone!
I never want to leave Lenoir! I have so much that I want to accomplish here!
Well im going to just get it out of the way.... last monday l slaughtered chickens. We went to a members house with my whole district and we slaughtered, defeathered, gutted, washed, and cut the meat off of 28 live chicken. It was very educational and fun. Yes... i did every step. It was pouring rain so I was soaking wet and had chicken blood all over me. I will add a few pictures. Don't look if you don't want to see.
I have already had people try to bible bash with us, but we have always been able to leave before it gets too intense. However this week we met two ladies who would not let us leave. They went on and on about how the gates of heaven are already closed and that they would be in heaven. They bashed on the book of mormon and the plan of salvation. I also was told multiple times that i was an angel of the devil and that i was going to hell. Now if you have never been bashed there are several emotions that go with the experience. It is mental, physically, ans spiritually draining. I felt so sorry for them and such a desire to help them understand the truth of the gospel. The hardest part for me was to hear someone talk so badly about something i love so much. Once we finally left, i wanted to just lay in bed and cry. We had a lesson to go to and i genuinely did not think that i could do it. I prayed so hard that i would have the spirit back with me so that i could teach with love and hope. We got to catherine's room (she is our most recent baptism) and she broke into the biggest smile. She told us that she had been praying we would stop by soon and that she was so grateful for us. We taught about the plan of happiness and she so plainly testified to me of its truth and the joy that it brings her. She had no clue but God placed her in my day because he knew I needed a spiritual boost. Catherine turned the whole day around!
I love this gospel so much and I know it is true! The Book of Mormon is of God and I promise that if you read it and ask God if it is true with a real desire to know that you will recieve an answer. It is true!
This week doing yard work made me happy!
I love you all so much! Have the best week ever!
